Description
The study program “Bachelor of Arts in Archaeology and Cultural History of Northeast Africa” offered at the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin public university provides a full-time combined bachelor course with a duration of six semesters. This program is targeted towards participants who are interested in gaining extensive historical knowledge about the ways in which Northeast African societies were formed and organized in the past. Students familiarize themselves with language acquisition, literary works, as well as the cultural artefacts that people have used from the period between the Neolith to the Islamic conquest. The possibility for doing an internship allows participants to work with historical sources, as well as practice the acquired language competency in Middle Egyptian. Some of the core modules that students are required to take include “Language Training,” “Archeology,” “Text, Image, Medium” and “Original Literature”.
