Description
The study program “Master of Arts in Archaeology and Cultural History of Northeast Africa” offered at the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin public university provides a full-time course with a duration of four semesters. This program is targeted towards participants who are interested in gaining extensive knowledge about the cultural and historical heritage of North-East Africa. The particular focus on the region around Egypt allows students to acquire the necessary expertise to read hieroglyphic texts, analyse and interpret them in a scientifically appropriate manner. The Master program aims at providing participants with the skills to critically evaluate complex situations and learn to analytically resolve them. The Sudan Archaeological Collection that the university possesses, as well as the partnership with the Egyptian Museum in Berlin, give students access to examining priceless historical artefacts from the heart of Europe.
