The study program “Bachelor of Arts in Art and Image History” offered at the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin public university provides a full-time combined bachelor course with a duration of six semesters. This program is targeted towards participants who are motivated to seek employment in different international organizations, such as art galleries, museums and institutions which strive to preserve architectural monuments. The bachelor program combines the academic fields of Art History and Visual History by providing core knowledge about the theoretical practices of artistic design from the Middle Ages to nowadays. The program also pays particular attention to studying the history of urban planning, pieces of art and technology of Central and Eastern Europe. During their studies, students are provided with the opportunity to gain practical experience in museums of education, art galleries and media organizations.
