Description
The study program “Master of Arts in Art and Image History” offered at the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin public university provides a full-time course with a duration of four semesters. This program is targeted towards participants who would like to find employment in organizations where the focus is on studying the historical aspects of culturally-oriented societies, such as art institutes, galleries, museums, etc. The Master program offers a project-oriented approach in which students gain comprehensive knowledge of the interconnections between the roles of the artistic design, from the Middle Ages to nowadays and artworks in the visual medium. Alongside many electives that participants could choose from there are also several compulsory modules, namely “Spaces, Objects, Images,” “Materials, Media, Practices” and “History and Theory of Images”. The course also offers the possibility for a two-month exchange program abroad during the second year of study.
