The study program “Master of Arts in Central Asian Studies” offered at the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin public university provides a full-time course with a duration of four semesters. The program is targeted towards participants who seek to build a career in professional areas, in which academic knowledge of the Central Asian region is required. This includes informational organizations, cultural institutions, as well as international organizations for migration. Throughout their studies, students comprehensively examine the regions around Tibet, Mongolia, Afghanistan, Xinjiang and the Caucasus. The Master program aims at the qualitative and quantitative investigation of the regions from cultural, historical, anthropological, religious, geographical and sociological discourses. Participants could put their theoretical knowledge into practice by choosing to participate in an exchange program at one of the universities in the Central Asian area.
