The training program “Certificate programme in German - Mathematics – Science Education at Primary Schools” offered at the Humboldt University Berlin provides a course with a duration of two semesters. The program is targeted towards prospective students who wish to apply for the Master of Education programs ‘Primary School Teaching (Qn) and (Qg)’ and who fail to meet some or all of the entry requirements of the programs. The program’s central focus is to provide participants with didactic knowledge of the three core subjects that are taught at the Master programs. Those are, namely, “German,” “Mathematics” and “Science Education”. A prerequisite to applying for this program is relevant academic background, with at least 180 ECST acquired during the studies. Upon successful completion of the course, students have gained the necessary competencies to apply for the subsequent Master of Education program.
