The study program “Master of Arts in Classical Archaeology” offered at the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin public university provides a full-time course with a duration of four semesters. This program is targeted towards participants who would like to pursue a career in museums, cultural or historical organizations, as well as in academia. The aim of the Master program is to deepen students’ expertise related to the central theoretical notions about archaeology as a science. The methodological approach further contributes to establishing the groundwork for students to have the necessary competence to scientifically evaluate archaeological monuments from their historical and cultural points of view. Participants also can practise the knowledge that they have gained in a museum and/or during archaeological excavation projects. This could be done by participating in an internship program at a culturally focused organization.
