The study program “Master of Arts in Classical Philology” offered at the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin public university provides a full-time course with a duration of four semesters. This program is targeted towards participants who are interested in pursuing a career in different cultural organizations, such as archive institutions, libraries, museums, etc. The aim of it is to provide a scientifically focused approach to examining the ancient Greek and Latin civilizations from a literary, cultural and linguistic domain. The Master program seeks to provide students with the necessary knowledge to be able to independently study Greko-Roman literature from the Middle Ages to nowadays and its relation to the German language and culture. For students to be able to adequately participate in the process of reading ancient texts in their original language, introductory courses in Greek and Latin have been incorporated into the study plan.
