Description
The study program “Master of Arts in Cultures and Literatures of Central and Eastern Europe” offered at the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin public university provides a full-time course with a duration of four semesters. The program is targeted towards participants who are interested in seeking a career path in an international organization where academic knowledge of the culture and cannon of Central and Eastern Europe is required. Besides examining the two regions from their socio-literary perspective, students can choose to empirically compare the transmission and persuasion of religious, ethnic, historical and philological practices. Participants can choose between two main specialization modules, namely “Cultures and Literatures of Central Europe” and “Cultures and Literatures of Eastern Europe”. Those who choose the first module are required to select the following two languages as part of their language practicals: Polish, Czech, Slovak, Hungarian, Bosnian, Croatian, Montenegrin or Serbian. In case of choosing the latter specialization module, the following languages become available for participants to choose from Russian, Ukrainian, Belarusian.
