Description
The study program “Master of Arts in Ethnography: Theory - Practice - Criticism” offered at the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin public university provides a full-time course with a duration of four semesters. This program is targeted towards participants who are interested in contributing to current research in the field of European anthropology. After successful completion of the Master program, students have gained the necessary knowledge to find employment in interdisciplinary cultural organizations in which expertise in qualitative research methods of European culture are needed. The program requires specific background knowledge in several disciplines as a precondition to starting the course. Some of them are namely Special knowledge in European Ethnology (at least 25 ECTS), Additional knowledge in theories of European Ethnology/Social and Cultural Anthropology (at least 10 ECTS) and Professional practical experience in the field of European ethnological/cultural anthropological professional fields (at least 300 hours within the last 3 years).
