The study program “Master of Arts in French and Francophone Studies” offered at the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin public university provides a full-time course with a duration of four semesters. In collaboration with six European universities, this Master program allows participants to examine the notion of the French language with its different variations from a cultural, linguistic and literary approach. Students could choose from a range of specialist modules which could be taken in some of the partner universities that HU Berlin jointly works with. Some of the modules are “History of Literature,” “Literature as textual and contextual knowledge,” “Media Studies” and “Francophone Studies in Linguistics and Literature”. This program is taught in both German and French. A certificate of language proficiency at Level C1 is therefore required.
