Description
The study program “Bachelor of Arts in European Ethnology” offered at the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin public university provides a full-time combined bachelor course with a duration of six semesters. This program is targeted towards participants who are motivated to learn about the traditions, history and practices of different cultures. The aim of the Master program is to provide students with a qualitative approach to scientifically examining the various ways through which people establish and maintain a society. The strong focus on ethnic, religious and gender-related practices provides participants with the fundamentals to empirically compare the customs of different European regional areas. Some of the modules offered at this program include “Introduction to European Ethnology I,” “Introduction to Social and Cultural Theory,” “Fundamental Perspectives of Ethnographic Research” and “Research Areas of European Ethnology”.
