Description
The study program “Master of Arts in European Ethnology” offered at the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin public university provides a full-time course with a duration of four semesters. The program is targeted towards participants with a Bachelor degree in a related field who wish to find employment in scientific organizations in which the ability to investigate occurrences within the framework of cultural practices is required. The scientifically-oriented teaching approach of the Master program encourages students to take part in ongoing hot research topics in the field. By working with modern and historical sources and by conducting independent academic investigations participants acquire the ability to organize and analytically communicate the conclusions that they have reached. Participation in exchange programs abroad is highly recommended as students are given the opportunity to compare different cultural practices and customs.
