Description

The study program “Master of Laws in European Law and Comparative Law” offered at the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin public university provides a full-time course with a duration of two semesters. The program is available for students to apply for due to the collaborative work of the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin with the Université Panthéon-Assás Paris II, the King's College London, the Sapienza Università di Roma, the University of Amsterdam, the Universidade Católica Portuguesa Lisbon, the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and the China University of Political Science and Law. The aim of the Master program is to deepen students’ knowledge of German law by comprehensively examining its connections with law legislations from other European countries. By closely investigating the similarities and differences between the legal systems of different countries, participants gain the ability to analytically think outside of the box when facing challenging multicultural issues later in their professions. Some of the courses that could be taken are namely, “Private Law,” “Commercial Law,” “Public Law” and “Criminal Law”.
