The study program “Bachelor of Arts in Gender Studies” offered at the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin public university provides a full-time combined bachelor course with a duration of six semesters. It is important to note that this program could only be taken as a second subject. The program is targeted towards participants who would like to contribute to the establishment of a gender-equal environment in the workplace. The Bachelor program aims at spreading awareness of the impacts that notions of ‘race,’ ‘class,’ ‘femininity’ and masculinity’ have in every aspect of contemporary societies. The multidisciplinary approach to the program allows students to gain insights into the different methods and approaches to which ethnicity, social image, sexuality and race affect various academic and educational fields, such as Law, Medicine and Educational Science.
