The study program “Master of Arts in Gender Studies” offered at the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin public university provides a full-time and a part-time course with a duration of four semesters. This program is targeted towards students who would like to gain extensive knowledge in gender theory and its relation to contemporary social problems, such as race, sexuality, gender equality, religion, etc. The core belief of gender studies is that gender plays a fundamental role in the way our society functions and is structured; the Master program allows students to further explore this theory and its application into the real world from a scientific perspective. Amongst several obligatory and elective modules that participants are required to take, this program also offers the student the possibility to do an internship.
