The study program “Master of Education in German (Integrated Secondary Schools/Grammar Schools) offered at Humboldt University Berlin provides a full-time master course with a duration of four semesters. This program is the final step that participants must take before starting their preparatory course at educational institutions. The Master program provides students with the possibility to acquire extensive scientific knowledge of the German language and linguistics. In addition, the practically-oriented pedagogical modules allow participants to incorporate the newly developed skills into a classroom curriculum where the ability to tutor a young audience is essential. After completing the program, participants are granted immediate access to a school establishment where they could begin their professional careers as secondary school teachers of German.
