The study program “Master of Arts in Global Studies” offered at the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin public university provides a full-time course with a duration of four semesters. This program is conducted in collaboration with several universities around the world. Those are namely, FLACSO, University of Pretoria, Jawaharlal Nehru University and Chulalongkorn University. Based on the arrangement for the given academic year, students must spend a semester in all of the partner universities. The Master program aims to motivate participants to critically examine our contemporary societies from economic, political and historical perspectives. The research-oriented method of teaching allows students to independently work on possible ways in which our globalized world could evolve to. A prerequisite to starting this program is a Bachelor degree in Social Sciences, Political Science or a related field, amounting to at least 60 CP. Upon successful completion of all courses, participants who have spent the second semester of their studies at FLACSO are eligible for a double-degree from both the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin and FLACSO.
