The study program “Bachelor of Arts in History/Historical Sciences” offered at the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin public university provides a full-time combined bachelor course with a duration of six semesters. This program is targeted towards participants who are either interested in starting a career in education or who wish to gain academic knowledge of the academic examination of historical context. The research-focused approach of the Bachelor program aims at providing students with the opportunity to actively engage in analyzing and interpreting the conditions from which a given occurrence originates. The supplementary teacher training modules prepare participants for employment in academic institutions in which the ability to present and communicate specific knowledge to a younger audience is required. Besides a good competency in German, it is highly recommended that students have a very good command of two other modern languages, as well as proficiency in Latin.
