The joint study program “Master of Arts in Open Design” offered at the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin public university provides a full-time course with a duration of four semesters. The program is available for participants to apply for due to the collaborative work of the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin with the Universidad de Buenos Aires. The Master program aims at providing students with a multidimensional approach to examining different subdisciplines from the fields of humanities, natural sciences, as well as art studies. Another module that participants are required to take consists of acquiring skills in either German or Spanish languages. During their first year, students attend classes at the Universidad de Buenos Aires. The first term of the second year is dedicated to living and studying in Berlin. Participants are allowed to complete their Master thesis either in Buenos Aires or in Berlin. Upon graduating from this program students receive a Double Degree from both universities.
