The study program “Master of Education in Primary School Teaching” offered at the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin public university provides a full-time master course with a duration of four semesters. This program is the final step that participants must take before starting their traineeship at educational institutions. The Master program aims to deepen students knowledge in the field of elementary education, educational sciences and language education while providing them with the necessary competence to independently design subject-related courses. The ability to conduct independent academic research related to the psychological development of children is a core component of the program. Participants must choose specialization modules from the following subjects German, Mathematics, subject teaching with a focus on social sciences, subject teaching with a focus on natural sciences, special education with the following specializations (Sign language education/hearing and Communication), Physical Education.
