The study program “Master of Education in Primary School Teaching (Qg)” offered at Humboldt University Berlin provides a full-time master course with a duration of four semesters. This program is the final step that participants must take before starting their preparatory service at educational institutions. The Master program focuses on providing participants with didactic knowledge of the field of Social Sciences. Besides acquiring general knowledge of these subjects, students are also allowed to gain special knowledge in one of the disciplines, by choosing it as their major module. The aim of the program is to provide students with the necessary teaching competencies to comprehend the learning processes that occur in children while perceiving new information. This way, the prospective teachers could communicate new knowledge and abilities to children adequately and following their learning comprehension skills.
