Description
The study program “Master of Arts in Religion and Culture” offered at the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin public university provides a full-time course with a duration of four semesters. This program is targeted towards participants who hold a Bachelor degree in any subfield of religion or culture sciences, such as theology, Judaism, sociology, philosophy, etc. The aim of the Master program is to academically study the complex relationship between the notions of culture and religion. In addition to that, discourses like the role that literature plays in the contemporary globalized world or the way that our culture shapes who we are as humans play a particular role in the program. Students are given the opportunity to compare different cultures by taking part in an exchange program with an accredited university outside of the Western world. The two partner universities that support this program are namely the Unversity of Stellenbosch and the University of KwaZulu-Natal, both located in South Africa.
