The study program “Master of Education in Russian (Integrated Secondary Schools/Grammar Schools)” offered at Humboldt University Berlin provides a full-time master course with a duration of four semesters. This program is the final step that participants must take before starting their preparatory course at educational institutions. The Master program provides students with the opportunity to learn the didactics of teaching Russian as a second language. Amongst many different challenges of teaching a foreign language, participants of this study also learn how to tutor bilingual pupils. Obtaining a Master of Education degree in Russian opens the possibility for receiving language training in another Eastern European language.
