Description
The study program “Master of Arts in Scandinavian/Northern European Studies” offered at the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin public university provides a full-time course with a duration of four semesters. The program is targeted towards participants who are interested in acquiring a comprehensive knowledge of the cultural traditions and practices of northern Europe. The scientific examination of this European region allows students to advance their methodological skills by conducting independent research on the interrelations between Nordik kinds of literature, history, politics, societies. This Master program allows participants to gain verbal and written competency in Danish, Finnish, Icelandic, Norwegian or Swedish. The program offers modules from each of the four thematic domains. These are namely, Linguistics, Medieval Studies, Literary Studies, and History, Politics and Cultures of Northern Europe.
