Description
The study program “Bachelor of Arts in Scandinavian Studies / Northern Europe Studies” offered at the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin public university provides a full-time combined bachelor course with a duration of six semesters. This program is targeted towards participants who are interested in gaining academic knowledge in the cultural, literary, linguistic, political and historical practices and traditions of the Baltic Sea region and Northern Europe. The Bachelor program allows students to acquaint themselves with Scandinavian literary works by following courses on medieval studies. In addition, the language competency that participants gain during their studies allows them scientifically to examine literary and cultural artworks in their original language. The exchange programs that the program offers enable students to practice the newly-developed language skills in one of the following languages Danish, Norwegian, Swedish, Finnish and Icelandic.
