The study program “Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences” offered at the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin public university provides a full-time bachelor course with a duration of six semesters. This program is targeted towards participants who would like to gain scientific knowledge in both sub-disciplines of the Social Sciences field, namely Sociology and Political Science. The aim of it is to interconnect the two fields of study so that students could acquire the necessary methodological skills to not only reflect on the social and political framework of Germany but also learn to scientifically examine these concepts from a global standpoint. The Bachelor program allows students to specialize in a particular subfield of Social Sciences such as Urban and Regional Sociology, Social Policy, Gender Studies, Family Sociology, etc. The program also offers the possibility of taking a combined bachelor course as a second core subject (60 CP).
