The study program “Master of Arts in Social Sciences” offered at the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin public university provides a full-time course with a duration of four semesters. This program is targeted towards participants who would like to gain extensive knowledge in the fields of sociology and political science with a particular focus on conducting advanced methodological research. The Master program grants access to students with a BA in Social Sciences or comparable degree with at least 60 ECTS in Sociology and/or Political Science. Participants must also demonstrate a basic understanding of classical and modern sociological and/or political theory (at least 15 ECTS); core competencies in methodology and empirical research (at least 15 ECTS), as well as extensive knowledge in particular subfields of sociology or political science (at least 10 ECTS).
