The study program “Bachelor of Arts in Spanish Studies” offered at the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin public university provides a full-time combined bachelor course with a duration of six semesters. This program is targeted towards participants who are either interested in starting a career in education or who wish to gain academic knowledge of the fundamental notions and discourses of Spanish, language and culture. The scientifically-based teaching method of the Bachelor program allows participants to contribute to current research in the field by critically examining the core theories and principles of Romance communities. Besides Latin and German language proficiency, students are required to provide evidence of language competency in another modern European language. Additionally, before applying for this program, participants must provide evidence of Spanish language skills amounting to at least A2 level.
