Description
The study program “Bachelor of Arts in Special Needs Education with Focus on Sign Language Pedagogy / Hearing & Communication” offered at the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin public university provides a full-time combined bachelor course with a duration of six semesters. This program is targeted towards participants who are interested in seeking employment in educational institutions in which expertise in working with children with physical or psychological impairments is required. The aim of the Bachelor program is to train students in problem-solving methods and techniques when working with children with disabilities. A precondition for starting this program is sufficient knowledge of German Sign Language amounting to at least 100 hours of studying. Before starting their studies participants must complete an entrance test in German Sign Language.
