The “Bachelor of Arts in Translation Chinese” is a 7-semester long program conducted in German, English and Chinese. The curriculum consists of multifaceted courses in Chinese Language, History, Culture, and more. Additionally, students can personalise their education by taking up elective modules. The BA is application-oriented and aims to provide participants with hands-on experience, key competencies, and soft skills needed for day-to-day operations. The program also offers participants the opportunity to carry out internships abroad and expand their horizons. Occupational activities include multilingual corporate communication, translation and editing of specialist texts, subtitling of foreign language films, image videos or commercials, terminology management and localization of software and websites, interpreting conversations or negotiations, intercultural training and language teaching, etc.
