Description


In this IST degree program, you will learn how to apply helpful communication strategies professionally, plan and implement PR and marketing campaigns and make the most of the opportunities offered by digitalization. With the specialist knowledge acquired at the IST University of Applied Sciences for Management, you will qualify for exciting areas of responsibility such as public relations, (online) marketing, social media, corporate communications and brand management in various companies and agencies.

The Master's in Communication Management prepares you optimally and flexibly for a wide range of career opportunities in the communications industry. You will acquire in-depth knowledge in business administration and cutting-edge knowledge in the field of digital communication. In general management modules, you will acquire in-depth knowledge in the areas of marketing and sales, digital transformation and leadership skills. Intensive preparation for professional activities builds on this. In specialization subjects, you will learn about topics such as “Brand and product management strategies”, “Communication design” and “Idea and innovation management”. In addition, you can choose your personal focus of interest through a variety of elective modules such as “Festivals and Entertainment”, “International Event Management”, “TV Conception and Production” and “Public Marketing and Social Marketing”. You will also be able to choose a specialization in tourism management.

Requirements


In order to be admitted to the Master's program, you need a Bachelor's degree of at least six semesters in business administration or with a focus on communication management. You also need at least 20 ECTS in economics courses, which you can also acquire in bridge courses at the IST University of Applied Sciences for Management. An internship of at least three months or three months of professional experience in a communications-related organization and English language skills at level B2 are also required.

The degree program is aimed at employees in the communications industry as well as career changers who already have a basic knowledge of economics and would like to continue their academic education in the field of communications management.
