Corporate communication is currently under the strong influence of digitalization. Different communication channels and social media platforms require adapted and innovative strategies in order to positively shape external PR. But internal communication also benefits from new concepts and a breath of fresh air. In order to meet such challenges and to be able to take on tasks in the areas of management, marketing and event management, a sound education is necessary. In the practical and flexible course of study, you will acquire theoretical and relevant specialist knowledge and apply it directly in the context of in-company training. You will gain valuable practical experience and learn how to deal with difficult tasks. Upon graduation, you will qualify for a career in marketing departments, media companies, management consulting, event and online marketing as well as brand and product management.

In your training company, you will gain practical experience alongside your studies and get to know professional processes. Studying at the IST University of Applied Sciences for Management will provide you with in-depth expert knowledge in the field of communication with a focus on digitalization topics. In general management modules, you will acquire leadership skills and in-depth knowledge in areas such as marketing, sales and digital transformation. Specialization subjects take a closer look at relevant topics such as “Communication Psychology”, “Idea and Innovation Management” and “Marketing Analytics and Big Data”. Exciting elective modules such as “Cross-media production and management”, “Festivals and entertainment”, “TV conception and production” and “Public marketing and social marketing” allow you to customize your studies. You also have the option of specializing in tourism marketing.

Requirements


To be admitted, you must have completed at least six semesters of a Bachelor's degree in communications management or business administration. As part of this, you need at least 20 ECTS points from economics courses, or be prepared to catch up on these in a bridge course. You should also have a B2 level of English.

The Master's degree program is aimed at anyone who would like to be professionally active during their studies and is looking for a combination of academic knowledge and practical work experience in order to qualify for senior positions in communications management.
