With the dual Master's degree in “Training Science and Sports Nutrition”, students acquire the qualification for management positions in competitive and elite sport as well as in fitness, amateur and health sports. The flexible long-distance study program provides in-depth insights into training science, sports physiology and nutritional science alongside practical experience in the training company. The combination of theory and practice at the IST University enables students to learn in a flexible and modern way, establish new business contacts and gain financial independence through the training allowance.

In mandatory courses, students are taught exciting training and nutrition science subjects such as “Sports Anatomy”, “Sports and Nutrition Physiology”, “Training Planning”, “Nutrition Diagnostics and Nutrition Planning” and “Regeneration Management in Sport”. Elective modules can be used to create an individual profile based on personal interests and professional goals. The diverse selection includes courses such as “Training in childhood and adolescence”, “Nutritional supplements”, “Modern nutrition” and “Entrepreneurship”.

The requirements include a completed Bachelor's degree in sport, training, health or nutrition including ten ECTS from nutrition, sport or training science courses. In addition, English language skills at level B2 and contractual partnership with a suitable training company are required. If students bring different requirements or need support in choosing a suitable training company, the IST School of Management will be happy to advise them.

The course is particularly suitable for students who already have a Bachelor's degree in a related field and are looking for a career in the training and nutrition industry. The dual Master's is also aimed at those who wish to gain practical experience alongside theory, earn money and build a close relationship with their chosen company.
