Do you want to get started as a sports psychologist? In the Master's degree program at the IST University of Applied Sciences for Management, expert lecturers from the industry will provide you with the necessary specialist knowledge and important key skills. This will enable you to carry out strategic and operational tasks on your own responsibility and enter the diverse industry as a sports psychologist. This degree program is a cooperation between the IST University of Applied Sciences for Management and the Döpfer University of Applied Sciences. We provide you with specialist knowledge in sports science and sports psychology, while Döpfer University of Applied Sciences offers in-depth expert knowledge in the field of psychology.

In this distance learning course, modules such as "Diagnostic Practice", "Team Building" and "Sports Psychology Coaching" as well as practice-oriented practical modules will prepare you for your everyday life as a sports psychologist. In addition to the main topics of "(Sport) Psychological Diagnostics", "Intervention Methods", "Team and Performance Development" and "Emotion and Motivation Regulation in Sport", you will also acquire important skills in (data) analytical areas and research methods, as well as evaluation research. The degree program also teaches coaching and social skills for sports psychologists, as these topics are becoming increasingly important. These skills are taught specifically in the module "Sports Psychology Coaching".

In order to be admitted into the Master's degree program, you need either a Bachelor's degree in a field compatible with the focus (e.g. "Sports Science and Training", "Physiotherapy", "Sports Business Management", "Health Management", "Fitness Science") or a Bachelor's degree in "Psychology".

The Master's degree program is particularly suitable for anyone who wants to prepare flexibly and practically for a career as a sports psychologist, for example for Bachelor's graduates who already work in sports clubs, sports institutions or associations. But also for psychologists who want to enter the sports industry or graduates of our Bachelor's degree programs, for example Sport Business Management and Sport Science and Training.
