Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences, founded in 1878, is a public university specializing in Engineering and Business seated in Karlsruhe, Baden-Wuerttemberg. Some 8,500 students currently attend a Bachelor or Master degree program in the fields of Engineering, Business, Computer Science, and Civil Engineering. The University accomodates six faculties: the Faculty of Architecture and Civil Engineering, the Faculty of Computer Science and Business Information Systems, the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology, the Faculty of Information Management and Media, the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Mechatronics, and the Faculty of Management Science and Engineering. In addition to conventional full-time degree programs, the University offers the extra-occupational Master study program “Electrical Engineering“, the certification courses “Refrigeration and Air Conditioning“, “International Business and Project Management“, “Power Industry Manager“, “Technical Documentation“, and “Building Information Modeling“, as well as in-house seminars.
