The KiHo Wuppertal/Bethel, founded in 1935, is a church university with locations in Wuppertal-Barmen and Bielefeld, North Rhine-Westphalia. Round about 1,300 students are enrolled at the KiHo Wuppertal/Bethel. The scope of study offerings includes a theology studies program and a deacon studies program. The theology studies program comprises the subjects Old Testament, New Testament, Church History, Dogma History, Systematic Theology and Ethics, Intercultural Theology/Missiology and Religious Studies, as well as Practical Theology, leading to the First Theological Examination (pastorate), as well as to the degrees of Mag.theol., and Dr.theol.
