The Konstanz University of Applied Sciences, founded in 1906 and seated in Konstanz (Baden-Wuerttemberg), is a public university specializing in engineering, business, and design. It accomodates round about 5,000 students, and breaks down into the following six departments: the Department of Architecture and Design, the Department of Business, Cultural and Legal Studies, the Department of Civil Engineering, the Department of Computer Science, the Department of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology, and the Department of Mechanical Engineering.
