Leuphana University of Lüneburg, founded in 1946, is a foundation university seated in Lüneburg, Lower Saxony. It currently has a total of more than 9,000 students enrolled. The University breaks down into four faculties: the Faculty of Education, the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, the Faculty of Sustainability, and the Faculty of Business and Economics. The study offer spreads across three schools which the University unites under one roof: Leuphana College, Leuphona Graduate School, and Leuphona Professional School. Leuphona College offers teacher education Bachelor programs as well as Bachelor programs unrelated to teaching. Teacher education Bachelor studies involve a combination of a specialized course of study, which is composed of a major subject and minor subject, with studies relating to the area of professionalization. Non-teaching Bachelor studies feature a combination of the specialized course of study with an interdisciplinary complementary studies. Leuphona Graduate School offers both consecutive Master programs in Education, Governance & Law, Humanities & Social Sciences, Management & Entrepreneurship, and Sustainability as well as doctoral programs. On offer at Leuphona Professional School are extra-occupational Bachelor and Master programs, extra-occupational certificate courses, as well as various continuing education programs (e. g., seminars, coachings). Depeding on the respective program, graduates of Leuphana University of Lüneburg obtain a B.A., B.Sc., B.Eng., M.A., M.Sc., M.Ed., LL.M., MBA, MPH, or MSM degree.
