“Assyriology’’ is a doctorate study program provided by the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich. The doctorate is usually with a duration of three years. By choosing this course, doctoral candidates will have the chance to gain new academic knowledge and apply it in the creation of a scientific dissertation on a topic related to Assyriology. The doctoral project can be either in the form of an individually supervised project or withing the framework of a doctoral program. At the end of their studies, participants will have to present their work and participate in an oral examination as well as to publish their dissertation in an academic journal.
