Description
“Bachelor of Arts in Egyptology and Coptology’’ is a six-semester study program offered at Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich. Here, prospective students will receive knowledge of all aspects related to the Pharaonic and Christian Egypt culture. Participants will explore the events that occurred from the 4th millennium BC up to the Coptic period. Some of the modules featured in this degree content include Archaeological Sources, Writing and Language: Philology, Linguistics and Modern Communication, Cultural History, Scientific Profile, and others. In addition to the competencies that students will acquire related to the subject, the program is designed to also teach them a set of skills in humanities and cultural sciences, in order to ensure employability outside of the focus of main focus of the program. Thus, graduates can seek career prospects in museums, universities as well as excavation archaeology.
