The study course “Master of Arts in Ethnology” at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich runs over four semesters. The training aims to build on the already acquired knowledge and skills from the undergraduate degree. Students gain broad theoretical and practical knowledge and develop critical thinking, analyzing, social, communicating, creative, adapting and problem-solving skills. To apply, prospective students must present a bachelor’s degree in Ethnology or equivalent. Graduates find employment in academia, research, journalism, media, museums, archaeology, cultural management, politics and business.
