“General and Comparative Literature’’ is a doctorate degree program provided by the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich. Its main objective is to teach doctoral students on how to perform a detailed academic work. The latter is in the form of a project that can be conducted either as an individually supervised project or within the framework of a structured doctoral program. In doing so, participants can further demonstrate the knowledge they have acquired throughout their studies. The scientific dissertation is accompanied by an oral examination and a publication of the dissertation.
