“German Language and Literature of the Middle Ages” is a doctoral course at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich. The program aims to qualify young academics in the field of German Language and Literature of the Middle Ages. Participants choose a topic for their dissertation related to their studies and a mentor to guide them through the whole writing process. Doctoral students defend their dissertations in front of a committee at the end of the program. Applicants must have a completed Master's degree in order to apply. Graduates are awarded the Doctor of Philosophy degree.
