The doctoral program “German Linguistics” at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich has a length of three to four years. It aims to deepen and extend students' knowledge and skills in German history, language and literature. Doctoral candidates choose a topic for their dissertation related to their studies and a supervisor to guide them through the whole process.
