The study course “Master of Arts in German Linguistics” at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich has a continuation of four semesters. The program is research-oriented and aims to build on the knowledge and skills acquired from the undergraduate degree. Students study linguistics in the scope from around 750 to the present day. The course content consists of seminars, lectures, methodological modules, and exercises, and concludes with a Master’s thesis. To apply, candidates must have a professionally qualifying university degree or an equivalent and a C1 level in German. Graduates find employment in education, research, translations, writing, publishing, museums, galleries, business consultants and other areas.
