The study course “Master of Arts in Journalism” at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich has a length of four semesters. The program is designed for students interested in general social, political, and cultural developments, as well as extensive use of information media. The study is in cooperation with the German School of Journalism (DJS). The syllabus contains Introduction to communication science, Media Studies, Communication practice, Media Economics, Media ethics, Methods of Journalism Research, Theories and current aspects of journalism and other subjects. To apply, candidates must present a relevant bachelor’s degree and good English knowledge. Graduates pursue a career as journalists, social media strategists, marketing managers, advertising managers, content writers, corporate communications officers and other more.
