“Sociology” is a minor bachelor's program at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich. The bachelor course is only offered in combination with a major. The curriculum includes Basics of Sociology, Social structure analysis, Sociological fields, General Sociological Theories, Basic Module Quantitative Methods, and Sociological Specialization. Students acquire broad theoretical and practical knowledge and develop thoroughly interdisciplinary key competences. To apply, prospective students must possess independent thinking and working, basic mathematical skills, and the basics of the English language. Graduates start a career in media and marketing, social and market research, public relations, journalism and more.
