The “Bachelor of Education in Religious Education and Church Education” program at Lutheran University of Applied Sciences focuses on guiding children, youth, and adults in growing ethical standards and beliefs. The program offers Religious education and Christian education, both of which include internships. The course teaches students to think theologically, knowledge of educational science, psychology, sociology and cultural studies. The curriculum contains Biblical theology, systematic theology, religious studies and theology of religions, church history, pedagogy, psychology, sociology and law. The professional prospects that students can find are in the areas of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Bavaria, such as teaching in primary and secondary schools, special schools, general and special vocational schools. Graduates must have at least a High school education with a general or subject university qualification.
