The “Bachelor of Arts in Design: Fashion Design” program at Macromedia University of Applied Sciences is highly practically-oriented, focusing on the aesthetic design of clothing and the conceptual orientation towards current needs and trends. Over the course of 6 or 7 semesters, students learn Pattern Design, Model Design, Fashion Display and Presentation, Future Concepts, Design and Media Theory and other subjects. In order to apply, candidates need a university or technical college entrance qualification, and application documents with a specially created portfolio. Apart from fashion designers, graduates can also become costume designers, trend scouts, pattern designers, fashion editors, stylists and more.
